Bob started playing guitar in the early 70's, quickly becoming enamored of fingerstyle folk/Americana. Most of his repertoire is original compositions, drawn from life experiences. His lyrics are thoughtful and complex. Bob's major influences include Bob Dylan, Janis Ian, James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens, and many others. He also composes hauntingly beautiful instrumental pieces. Many people have expressed that Bob has quite a sense of humor. Bob finds this attitude to be suspect and vaguely disturbing.
Despite his many years of musical composition, Bob only began performing publicly fairly recently, playing his first open mic in the Spring of 2010. Since then his career has begun to take off, having played in numerous venues to appreciative audiences.
Bob is not a one dimensional person. In addition to music, he has numerous outside interests including camping, road/mountain biking, and rock climbing. Family and children are priorities. Bob has two adored boys, both grown and musically talented in their own rights.
